Snowpiercer: Sakina Jaffrey And Damian Young Land Recurring Roles For Season 2


Deadline is exclusively reporting that Sakina Jaffrey and Damian Young have signed up for recurring roles for the upcoming second season of TNT drama series Snowpiercer.

 

The official synopsis for the series is as follows:

Set more than seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland Snowpiercer centres on the remnants of humanity, who inhabit a 1001 car, perpetually-moving train that circles the globe. Class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival play out in this riveting television adaptation based on the acclaimed movie and graphic novel series of the same name.

 

While the first season doesn’t premier until next year, production for the second season is currently underway.

 

Damian Young (whose credits include ) and Sakina Jaffrey (whose credits include ) will be playing the roles of Mr. and Mrs. Headwood. Two scientists operating in seclusion, the idiosyncratic Mr. and Mrs. Headwood care about only two things: their research and each other. They are devoted to pushing the bounds of scientific progress at the expense of humanity and ethics.

 

For the second season the duo will star alongside Daveed Diggs, Jennifer Connelly, Steven Ogg, Rowan Blanchard, Sean Bean and Tom Lipinski.
