Variety is reporting that the CW is developing another series within the Arrowverse, this one being about Superman and Lois Lane starring Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch.
The potential series is set to follow the world’s most famous superhero and comic’s most famous journalist as they deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society.
Todd Helbing, who was showrunner on The Flash for a few seasons, is attached to the project to write as well as executive produce alongside Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Geoff Johns. Berlanti Productions will produce in association with Warner Bros. Television.
Tyler Hoechlin first made his appearance as the Man of Steel back in the second season of Supergirl and has appeared a number of times over the course of the series, as well as the crossover events. Meanwhile, Elizabeth Tulloch made her debut as Lois Lane in last years Arrowverse crossover event Elseworlds. Both will be reprising their roles in the upcoming crossover Crisis On Infinite Earths.
A Superman series will be intriguing though it makes we wonder what exactly are their long-term plans for Supergirl. Will this come into play during the Crisis On Infinite Earths crossover? Either way, I thought Hoechlin and Tulloch had good chemistry in Elseworlds, so I potential series felt inevitable considering Arrow is coming to an end.
