Snake Eyes: Iko Uwais In Talks To Join Cast For G.I Joe Spinoff

The Hollywood Reporter is exclusively reporting that Iko Uwais is in negotiations with Paramount to join the cast for the upcoming G.I Joe spinoff Snake Eyes.

Snake Eyes is a silent ninja commando who dresses all in back, never reveals his face and doesn’t speak. He stands out among the military anti-terrorist group and quickly establishes himself as the most popular character. He has a special relationship with Scarlett, the team’s only female member and sometimes carries out solo missions with his pet wolf Timber. His nemesis is Storm Shadow, a ninja who is also his blood brother.

Iko Uwais (whose credits include The Raid and Wu Assassins) could be playing the role of Hard Master, Snake Eyes’ tough as nails teacher who is also a skilled sword master.

Robert Schwentke is directing the film, with the script written by Evan Spiliotopoulos and Brian Goldner serving as producer.

Iko Uwais could join a cast that includes Henry Golding and Andrew Koji.
