Deadline is exclusively reporting that Steven Ogg has been promoted to series regular for the second season of TBS drama series Snowpiercer.
The television series is set seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland and the remnants of humanity inhabit a gigantic, perpetually moving train that circles the globe. The show will tackle issues such as class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival.
Steven Ogg plays the role of Pike, a volatile Tailie gang leader, who as Layton’s rival, may be more interested in chaos than a real revolution. Rowan Blanchard is another recurring member that’s been promoted to series regular for the second season. The series was originally set for TNT but last month it was moved along to sibling network TBS as WarnerMedia also announced its second season renewal.
Snowpiercer stars Daveed Diggs, Jennifer Connelly, Mickey Sumner, Annalise Basso, Sasha Frolova, Alison Wright, Benjamin Haigh, Roberto Urbina, Katie McGuinness, Susan Park, Sam Otto, Sheila Vand, Lena Hall, Iddo Goldberg, Jaylin Fletcher, Steve Ogg, Timothy V. Murphy, Happy Anderson, Jonathan Lloyd Walker, Aleks Paunovic, Shaun Toub, Kerry O’Malley, Aaron Glenane, Fiona Vroom and Rowan Blanchard.
Snowpiercer is set to debut in Spring 2020.
