This Is Us: Renewed For Fourth, Fifth AND Sixth Season At NBC


Media outlets are reporting that NBC have renewed hit drama series This Is Us for another three seasons.

 

This Is Us follows the lives of Jack and Rebecca Pearson and their three siblings, Kevin, Kate and Randall (aka The Big Three), with stories stories being told at various times through the present and flashbacks. Whilst the third season featured the usual present/flashback scenes about the Pearson family, it also focused on Jack’s time during the Vietnam War, alongside his brother Nicky.

 

Lisa Katz and Tracey Pakosta, Presidents of Scripted Programming, NBC Entertainment said:

In a television landscape with nearly 500 original scripted series, there are very few, if any, that have the critical and cultural impact of This Is Us, and we couldn’t be more proud to bring fans three more seasons of a show that so well represents the NBC brand. A huge thank you and congratulations to our executive producers, cast and crew who reach new heights every week with the show’s inventive and compelling storytelling.

 

Asked during NBC’s Upfronts press call whether this means season six will be the series last, NBC co-chairman Paul Telegdy said:

We’re keeping it open for now. Creator Dan Fogelman has a plan for the show, for now it’s being picked up for three more seasons.

 

The third season of This Is Us starred Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia, Sterling K. Brown, Justin Hartley, Chrissy Metz, Susan Kelechi Watson, Chris Sullivan, Jane Kaczmarek, Rob Morgan, Michael AngarnoMelanie LiburdLyric Ross, Yetide Badaki, Tom Jo and Griffin Dunne.
