The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Maxwell Jenkins is the latest name to join the cast of true story drama Good Joe Bell.
The film, based on a true story, will focus on real-life Oregonian father Joe Bell, who sets out on a walk across the United States with his son, Jadin.
The film is written by Brokeback Mountain screenwriters Diana Ossana and Larry McMurtry, with Reinaldo Marcus Green, who made his directorial feature debut last year with Monsters and Men, is attached to helm the film.
The report states that Maxwell Jenkins (whose credits include Lost In Space and Sense8) will be playing the role of Joseph Bell, the younger brother of Jadin. He joins recently cast Mark Wahlberg, Connie Britton and Reid Miller.
Stay Gold’s Daniela Taplin Lundberg will serve as producer on the project alongside Riva Marker and Jake Gyllenhaal under their Nine Stories banner, Eva Marial Daniels of Vision Chaos, Cary Fukunaga of Parliament of Owls, Ryan Ahrens of Argent Pictures, as well as Mark Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson.
The film is being co-financed by Argent Pictures and Hercules Film Fund, with Argent Pictures’ Jill Ahrens, Ben Renzo, Tony Parker, Derick Brooks, Michael Finley and Drew Brees executive producing alongside screenwriters Ossana and McMurtry, as well as Paris Kassidokostas-Latsis, Terry Dougas and Jean-Luc De Fanti for Hercules and Rhea Films.
