L.A’s Finest: Jake Busey Joins Cast For Bad Boys Spinoff Series


Deadline is reporting that Jake Busey is the latest name to join the cast of Bad Boys spinoff television series L.A’s Finest for Charter Communications.

 

The series focuses on the free-spirited former DEA Agent Syd Burnett making a fresh start in her new job as an LAPD Detective. She’s partnered with Nancy McKenna, a working mother who can’t help but look at Syd’s freeform with some grass-is-greener envy. These two have totally different lifestyles and approaches, but they’re both at the top of their fields in this action-packed, character-driven procedural.

 

Jake Busey (whose recent credits include The Predator and Stranger Things) will have a recurring role as Bishop Duvall an enigmatic criminal hoping to gain a foothold in the Los Angeles drug world.

 

L.A’s Finest marks Charter Communications first major series order for their Spectrum Original Content lineup. The Bad Boys spinoff is produced by Sony Pictures TV, with Jerry Bruckheimer’s Jerry Bruckheimer TV, Doug Belgrad’s 2.0 Entertainment and Primary Wave Entertainment. Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba served as executive producers on the project alongside Brandon Sonnier, Brandon Margolis, Bruckheimer, Belgrad, Jonathan Littman, KristieAnne Reed, Jeff Gaspin and Jeff Morrone. Former CSI:NY showrunner Pam Veasey, will serve as co-showrunner alongside Margolis and Sonnier.

 

Jake Busey will be joining a cast that includes Gabrielle UnionJessica AlbaErnie HudsonZach GilfordDaune MartinRyan McPartlin, Zach McGowan, Barry SloaneSophie ReynoldsDavid Fumero and Jordan Rodrigues.
