Deadline is exclusively reporting that Lyne Renee is the latest name to join the cast of Guy Ritchie’s British crime drama Toff Guys.
Toff Guys is set to explore the collision between European ‘old money’ and the modern marijuana industry. It follows a British drug lord attempting to cash out on his highly profitable empire by selling it off to a dynasty of Oklahoma billionaires.
The report states that Lyne Renee (whose credits include The Hippopotamus and Deep State) will be playing the role of Jackie, the wife of Jeremy Strong’s Cannabis Kingpin.
The film is set to be in the same vein as his earlier work, such as Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch, with Miramax buying the rights for the film earlier in the year at Cannes Film Festival for $30m. Bob Osher and Matthew Anderson will be supervising on the project on behalf of Miramax.
