Deadline is exclusively reporting that Paul Sparks, Aasif Mandvi and Fred Hechinger are the latest names to join the cast of the film adaptation of Stephen Amidon’s 2005 novel Human Capital.
The story follows the lives of two families, one middle-class and the other privileged, as their lives intertwine across the social divide when two of their children suddenly begin a relationship that leads to a tragic accident.
The report doesn’t what roles the trio will have in the film.
The Amidon novel was adapted previous by Paolo Virzì for the 2013 Italian-language film il Capitale Umano. This English-language adaptation will be written by Oren Moverman, with Marc Meyers attached to direct. Trudie Styler and Celine Rattray of Maven Pictures are producing the project alongside Oren Moverman under his Sight Unseen and Pictures banner, Liev Schreiber and Matthew Stillman under their Illuminated Content banner. Indiana Production will executive produce the film.
