The Hollywood Reporter is exclusively reporting that Colin Farrell is the latest name to join the cast of Guy Ritchie’s British crime drama Toff Guys, while Michelle Dockery will be replacing Kate Beckinsale in the film.
Toff Guys is set to explore the collision between European ‘old money’ and the modern marijuana industry. It follows a British drug lord attempting to cash out on his highly profitable empire by selling it off to a dynasty of Oklahoma billionaires.
The report states that Colin Farrell (whose credits include Widows and Dumbo) will be playing the role of Coach, a man who trains MMA fighters.
The film is set to be in the same vein as his earlier work, such as Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch, with Miramax buying the rights for the film earlier in the year at Cannes Film Festival for $30m. Bob Osher and Matthew Anderson will be supervising on the project on behalf of Miramax.
