Supergirl: Hannah James And Kate Burton Land Recurring Roles For Season 4


Deadline is reporting that Hannah James and Kate Burton have signed up for recurring roles in the fourth season of superhero drama series Supergirl.

 

After Supergirl defeated Queen Rhea and her Daxamite army at the end of the second season, the third season focused on Kara Danvers having to battle against Kryptonian worldkiller known as Reign, who was also transported to Earth just before Krypton’s destruction. Living out her life as Samantha Arias, she remained unaware of her origins until her powers started to manifest, then becoming Supergirl’s biggest adversary. The fourth season will see Kara having to take on Agent Liberty.

 

Hannah James (whose credits include Mercy Street and Outlander) will be playing the role of Nia Nal’s older sister Maeve. Maeve Nal is driven and focused on maintaining the Nal family’s rich legacy. She and Nia have a strong sisterly bond, although Maeve has always had to work harder to achieve what comes naturally to Nia. Kate Burton (whose credits include Scandal and Grey’s Anatomy) will be playing the role of Nia’s mother Isabel. Isabel, the warm and nurturing mother of Nia Nal, is a local hero in her own right. She is a wise and generous matriarch and has raised her family to be bold and courageous, as well as to love fiercely and openly.

 

The fourth season also stars Melissa Benoist, Mehcad Brooks, Chyler Leigh, Jesse Rath, David Harewood, Katie McGrath, Jeremy Jordan, Sam WitwerNicole MainesApril Parker JonesDavid AjalaRhona MitraRobert BakerBruce BoxleitnerAnthony Konechny and Azie Tesfai.
