Toff Guys: Hugh Grant Joins Cast For Guy Ritchie Film

Deadline is exclusively reporting that Hugh Grant is the latest name to join the cast of Guy Ritchie’s British crime drama Toff Guys.

Toff Guys is set to explore the collision between European ‘old money’ and the modern marijuana industry. It follows a British drug lord attempting to cash out on his highly profitable empire by selling it off to a dynasty of Oklahoma billionaires.

Hugh Grant (whose recent credits include Florence Foster Jenkins and Paddington 2) will be playing the role of Fletcher, a British gossip journalist with a reputation of going into people’s lives, and undoing them.

The film is set to be in the same vein as his earlier work, such as Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch, with Miramax buying the rights for the film earlier in the year at Cannes Film Festival for $30m. Bob Osher and Matthew Anderson will be supervising on the project on behalf of Miramax.

Hugh Grant will be starring alongside Matthew McConaughey, Kate Beckinsale and Henry Golding.
