Supergirl: Lex Luthor Will Be Appearing On The CW Series In Season 4


The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that casting is underway on superhero drama series Supergirl as they look set to finally introduce viewers to Lex Luthor in the upcoming fourth season.

 

After Supergirl defeated Queen Rhea and her Daxamite army at the end of the second season, the third season focused on Kara Danvers having to battle against Kryptonian worldkiller known as Reign, who was also transported to Earth just before Krypton’s destruction. Living out her life as Samantha Arias, she remained unaware of her origins until her powers started to manifest, then becoming Supergirl’s biggest adversary. The fourth season will see Kara having to take on Agent Liberty.

 

Executive producers Robert Rovner and Jessica Queller, released a joint statement today saying:

We’re beyond excited to introduce iconic villain, Lex Luthor, to Supergirl and to weave him into our story this season. We’ve talked about having Lex on the show since its inception and we’re excited to have him finally arrive. We can’t wait for him to shake things up in National City and watch him go toe to toe with not only Supergirl, but his sister Lena Luthor.

 

The report states that casting for the iconic character looks to be a recurring role.

 

The upcoming fourth season also stars Melissa Benoist, Mehcad Brooks, Chyler Leigh, Jesse Rath, David Harewood, Katie McGrath, Jeremy Jordan, Sam WitwerNicole MainesApril Parker JonesDavid AjalaRhona MitraRobert BakerBruce Boxleitner and Anthony Konechny.
