Westworld: Renewed For Third Season At HBO


Media outlets are reporting that HBO has renewed drama series Westworld for a third season, two episodes into its second season run.

 

Based on the 1973 Michael Crichton film and created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the series is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin, set within a technologically advanced Wild West themed amusement park populated by android hosts.

 

President HBO Programming, Casey Bloys, released a statement saying:

It’s been an extraordinary pleasure to work with the exceptionally talented Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, as well as their gifted cast and crew. From the inspired storytelling to the incredible visuals, we are so excited to see where the next chapter will take us.

 

Westworld stars Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Jimmi Simpson, Rodrigo Santoro, Shannon Woodward, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Ben Barnes, Simon Quarterman, Angela Sarafyan, Luke Hemsworth, Katja Herbers, Neil Jackson, Jonathan Tucker, Gustaf Skarsgård, Fares Fares, Betty Gabriel, Hiroyuki Sanada, Tao Okamoto, Julia Jones, Kiki Sukezane and Zahn McClarnon.
