Deadline is reporting that Jack Huston and Maximiliano Hernandez have joined the cast of Audience Network’s drama series Mr. Mercedes for the upcoming second season.
The first season focused on Brady Hartsfield, a demented killer who taunts a retired police detective Bill Hodges with a series of lurid letters and emails, forcing the ex-cop to undertake a private, and potentially felonious, crusade to bring the killer to justice before he is able to strike again.
The report states that Jack Huston (whose credits include Their Finest and The Irishman) will be playing the role of Brady Hartsfield’s doctor, Dr. Felix Babineau, while Maximiliano Hernandez (whose credits include Sicario and The Last Ship) will be playing the role of Assistant DA Antonio Montez.
Production is set to commence next month in Charleston, South Carolina, with the second season aiming to premiere this summer. Huston and Fernandez will be joining regulars Brendan Gleeson, Harry Treadaway, Jharrel Jerome, Scott Lawrence, Breeda Wool, Justine Lupe and Holland Taylor.
