GLOW: Annabella Sciorra Lands Recurring Role For Season 2


Deadline is reporting that Annabella Sciorra has landed a recurring role for the upcoming second season of Netflix’s comedy wresting series GLOW.

 

Inspired by the short-lived show from the 80’s, GLOW is set during in Los Angeles where we follow struggling actress Ruth Wilder searching for a role, any role, that she can sink her teeth into. As she auditions for roles of secretaries, she still has little success until one day a casting director calls her for an unconventional project. She soon learns that the project is auditioning to compete in a fledgling professional wrestling promotion called Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling aka GLOW.

 

Annabella Sciorra (whose credits include Jungle Fever, The Sopranos and Back In The Day) will be playing the role of Rosalie Biagi, mother to the youngest of the GLOW girls.

 

GLOW stars Alison Brie, Betty Gilpin, Sydelle Noel, Britney Young, Marc Maron, Jackie Tohn, Kate Nash, Britt Baron, Chris Lowell, Rich Sommer, Kimmy Gatewood, Rebekka Johnson, Sunita Mani, Kia Stevens, Gayle Rankin, Ellen Wong, Marianna Palka and Alex Rich. Sciorra will be joining new cast members Shakira Barrera and Wyatt Nash.
