Hellboy: Sophie Okonedo, Brian Gleeson And Alistair Petrie Join Cast For Reboot


Deadline is reporting that Sophie Okonedo, Brian Gleeson and Alistair Petrie are the latest names to join the cast of Lionsgate and Millennium Film’s reboot of Hellboy.

 

Mike Mignola created Hellboy back in 1993, telling the story of a demon being raised by a professor, growing up to fight supernatural evil beings for an organisation known as the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense. The upcoming reboot, formerly titled Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen, will focus on Big Red squaring off against a medieval sorceress who seeks to destroy mankind.

 

Sophie Okonedo (whose recent credits include Undercover and The Hollow Crown) will be playing the role of Lady Hatton, a resident seer at the Osiris Club, an ancient English club dedicated to uncovering supernatural mysteries. Brian Gleeson (whose recent credits include Logan Lucky and Mother!) will be playing the role of Merlin, a Wizard. Alistair Petrie (whose recent credits include The Night Manager and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) will be playing the role of Lord Adam Glaren, a high-ranking member of the club.

 

Hellboy is being directed by Neil Marshall, with the film currently shooting. The trio will be joining a cast that includes David HarbourIan McShaneMilla JovovichSasha LanePenelope Mitchell and Daniel Dae Kim.
