Westworld: Gustaf Skarsgård, Fares Fares And Betty Gabriel Join Cast For Season 2


Deadline is reporting that Gustaf Skarsgård and Fares Fares have signed up for series regulars roles, while Betty Gabriel will recur for the upcoming second season of the sci-fi western series Westworld.

 

Based on the 1973 Michael Crichton film and created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the series is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin, set within a technologically advanced Wild West themed amusement park populated by android hosts.

 

Gustaf Skarsgård (whose credits include Autumn Blood and Vikings) will be playing the role of Karl Strand, a white-collar guy comfortable in the field. Fares Fares (whose credits include Zero Dark Thirty and Tyrant) will be playing the role of Antoine Costa, a tech expert with an objective perspective. Betty Gabriel (whose credits include Good Girls Revolt and Get Out) will be playing the role of Maling, who is trying to restore order on the ground. The three find themselves in an unpredictable environment during the second season.

 

The first season cast included Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Jimmi Simpson, Rodrigo Santoro, Shannon Woodward, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Ben Barnes, Simon Quarterman, Angela Sarafyan, Luke Hemsworth and Clifton Collins Jr. For the second season, Talulah Riley and Louis Herthum, who had recurring roles in the first season, have been promoted to series regulars for the upcoming second season and recently joining the cast are Katja HerbersNeil Jackson and Jonathan Tucker.
