Arrow: Sydelle Noel Lands Recurring Role For Season 6

Variety is exclusively reporting that Sydelle Noel has signed up for a recurring role for the upcoming sixth season of Arrow.

Arrow focuses on DC character Oliver Queen, who returns to Star City/Starling City after being stranded on a hostile island for five years and returns home to fight crime and corruption as a secret vigilante.

The report states that Sydelle Noel (whose credits include Captive and most recently GLOW) will be playing the role of Samanda Watson, an FBI agent who will be investigating Oliver Queen’s connection to the Green Arrow. The producers describe Samanda as intelligent and poised with a no nonsense attitude. She is a woman who won’t rest until Green Arrow’s secrets are revealed. I like this casting for the role as Noel’s performance in GLOW will showcase that she has the talent to play the role of Watson perfectly, though I hope the role isn’t as thankless as say Tyler Ritter’s was in the last season of Arrow (not talking about his performance, just how they handled his character). With the character description, I wonder if this will be the season that Oliver will be publicly outed as the Green Arrow either by a villain or coming clean himself…time will tell.

Arrow stars Stephen Amell, David Ramsey, Willa Holland, Paul Blackthorne, Emily Bett Rickards and Echo Kellum, Katie Cassidy, Rick Gonzalez and Juliana Harkavy, returning are Manu Bennett and David Nykl while joining them this season is Michael Emerson.
