Deadline is exclusively reporting that Teagan Croft is the first lead cast member for live-action series Titans, playing the role of Raven.
The series will focus on a group of young soon-to-be superheroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In the action adventure series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes that includes Starfire, Raven and others.
Teagan Croft (whose credits include Home & Away and The Osiris Child) will be playing the role of Raven, the daughter of a demon who is a powerful empath and must keep her emotions in check or risk unleashing her demonic side. I don’t know anything about newcomer Croft, but it’s nice to hear that they’ve finally cast one of the leads for the Titans project as we’ve been waiting for development since it was announced in April that they were making a live-action series.
Titans is being developed by Greg Berlanti, Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, Sarah Schechter and Warner Bros TV. The series is aiming to premiere in 2018 and help launch the DC digital service brand.
