Westworld: Katja Herbers Joins Cast As Series Regular For Season 2

Entertainment Weekly and Deadline are reporting that Katja Herbers has signed up for a series regular role in HBO’s breakout sci-fi western series Westworld.

Based on the 1973 Michael Crichton film and created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the series is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin, set within a technologically advanced Wild West themed amusement park populated by android hosts.

Katja Herbers (whose credits include Divorce and The Leftovers) will be playing the role of Grace, a seasoned guest in Westworld whose latest visit comes at the park’s darkest hour.

The first season cast included Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Jimmi Simpson, Rodrigo Santoro, Shannon Woodward, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Ben Barnes, Simon Quarterman, Angela Sarafyan, Luke Hemsworth and Clifton Collins Jr. For the second season, Talulah Riley and Louis Herthum, who had recurring roles in the first season, have been promoted to series regulars for the upcoming second season.

Westworld is set to begin production this month for season 2, with the series set to make it’s San Diego Comic Con debut next week.
