Variety is reporting that Randall Park has been cast in Marvel’s upcoming Ant-Man sequel Ant-Man And The Wasp.
The 2015 film focused on cat burglar Scott Lang, who is unknowingly tested by scientist Hank Pym, to become the new Ant-Man and break into Hank’s company, Pym Technologies, to pull off a heist that will save the world.
Paul Rudd will be returning as Scott Lang aka Ant-Man, as will Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne aka The Wasp. It’s been reported recently that Michael Douglas and Michael Pena are expected to reprise their roles from the original as well. This report doesn’t state what role Randall Park will have in the film.
Randall Park’s credits include The Interview and Fresh Off The Boat. Peyton Reed will be returning to direct the sequel, with Paul Rudd working on the script with Gabriel Ferrari and Kevin Feige on board to produce. Park will be joining recently cast Hannah John-Kamen.
Ant-Man and the Wasp is scheduled for cinematic release on the 6th July 2018.
