Nightcrawler Trio Dan Gilroy, Jake Gyllenhaal And Rene Russo Reteaming For Film Set In Art World


Deadline is exclusively reporting that Nightcrawler writer-director Dan Gilroy is developing a new untitled film set in the art world that will reunite his stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Rene Russo.

 

The trio worked together on 2014 film Nightcrawler, which focused on Jake Gyllenhaal playing  Louis Bloom, a driven man desperate for work, muscles into the world of L.A. crime journalism, he blurs the line between observer and participant to become the star of his own story. Aiding him in his effort is Nina, a TV-news veteran, played by Rene Russo. The film earned an Oscar Nomination for Best Original Screenplay.

 

According to Deadline’s sources, Gilroy’s CAA reps are shopping the untitled film to studios and there are currently multiple buyers circling the project.
