Variety is exclusively reporting that Hannah John-Kamen has been cast in Marvel’s upcoming Ant-Man sequel Ant-Man And The Wasp.
The 2015 film focused on cat burglar Scott Lang, who is unknowingly tested by scientist Hank Pym, to become the new Ant-Man and break into Hank’s company, Pym Technologies, to pull off a heist that will save the world.
Paul Rudd will be returning as Scott Lang aka Ant-Man, as will Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne aka The Wasp. The reports state that Michael Douglas and Michael Pena are expected to reprise their roles from the original as well. The report states also that Marvel have made no comment on John-Kamen’s casting.
While the plot and John-Kamen’s role is being kept under wraps, it’s believed that Marvel have been meeting with actresses over the past month before finally deciding that Hannah John-Kamen was the choice for the role. Her credits include Black Mirror and Killjoys. Peyton Reed will be returning to direct the sequel, with Paul Rudd working on the script with Gabriel Ferrari and Kevin Feige on board to produce.
Ant-Man and the Wasp is scheduled for cinematic release on the 6th July 2018.
