Unsolved: Drama About Tupac And Biggie’s Murders Gets Series Order At USA Network

Media outlets are reporting that the USA Network have given a series order to the scripted true-crime drama Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G.

The pilot and story is based on the experiences of former LAPD Detective Kading, author of the book Murder Rap: The Untold Story of Biggie Smalls & Tupac Shakur Murder Investigations, who led multiple law-enforcement task forces investigating the murders. Unsolved is envisioned as an anthology series, focusing on a different high profile unsolved case each season. Anthony Hemingway directed the pilot and will now serve as an executive producer for the series alongside Mark Taylor under their Hemingway|Taylor production company. Kading, who consulted on the pilot script, will now serve as a co-executive producer. Kyle Long, who wrote the script, also executive produced the pilot.

Unsolved will star Wavyy Jonez (Wallace aka Notorious B.I.G), Marcc Rose (Tupac Shakur), Josh Duhamel (Detective Greg Kading), Jimmi Simpson (Detective Russell Poole), Bokeem Woodbine (Officer Daryn Dupree), Jamie McShane (Detective Fred Milner), Brent Sexton (Detective Brian Tyndall), Luke James (Sean ‘Puffy’ Combs), Aisha Hinds (Voletta Wallace) and Letoya Luckett (Sharitha Golden).
