Darkest Minds: Mark O’Brien Joins Cast


Deadline is reporting that Mark O’Brien is the latest name to join the cast of Fox’s adaptation of Alexandra Bracken’s YA trilogy Darkest Minds.

 

Darkest Minds is set in an America where a pandemic has killed most of the children and teenagers, the story tells of teens with superpowers who are taken from their families and placed inside internment camps.

 

The report doesn’t state what role Mark O’Brien (whose recent credits include Halt and Catch Fire and Arrival) will be playing in the film. Jennifer Yuh Nelson, who directed the Kung Fu Panda films, will be making her live-action directorial feature debut with this project, which is being produced by Shawn Levy and his 21 laps banner.

 

Also set to star in The Darkest Minds is Amandla Stenberg, Mandy Moore, Patrick Gibson and Golden Brooks.
