TVLine is exclusively reporting that Will Chase is the latest name to join the cast of Stranger Things for the upcoming second season on Netflix.
Released on the streaming service Netflix last summer, Stranger Things took us to Hawkins, Indiana in 1983, where one night a young boy named Will Byers vanishes into thin air. As friends, family and local police search for answers, they are drawn into an extraordinary mystery involving terrifying supernatural forces and one very strange little girl. The second season is set one year after these events, and will delve into the bigger mythology behind young Will Byers’ disappearance, Matt Duffer previously teased.
Will Chase (whose credits include Nashville and Time After Time) will be playing the role of Neil Mayfield, the father of a family of recent transplants to Hawkins Indiana from California.
Returning in the second season are Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Cara Buono, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery and Noah Schnapp along with newcomers Sadie Sink, Dacre Montgomery, Paul Reiser, Sean Astin, Linnea Bethelsen and Brett Gelman.
The second season of Stranger Things will be available on Netflix’s streaming service in Halloween 2017.
