Variety is exclusively reporting that Anika Noni Rose is the latest name to join the cast of thriller Assassination Nation.
Assassination Nation follows four teenage girls in a small suburb who become the focus of unwanted, worldwide media attention after their personal information is leaked by an anonymous hacker. The reports don’t state what roles the actors have been cast in.
Anika Noni Rose will be playing the role of an attractive woman with terrible taste in men, who has an unfortunate reputation in the conservative town of Salem. When the mysterious hacker outs her for her various affairs with the town’s married men, she faces scorn, public ridicule and downright abuse from the outraged citisenry.
The film is being written and directed by Sam Levinson, with the film being produced by Foxtail Entertainment, Phantom Four and Bron Studios in association with Creative Wealth Media. Matthew Malek and Anita Gou are serving as producers under their Foxtail banner, with David Goyer and Kevin Turen under the Phantom Four banner and Aaron L. Gilbert under the Bron Studios banner. Creative Wealth Media’s Jason Cloth and Andy Pollack will serve as executive producers.
