Deadline is exclusively reporting that Jeffrey Dean Morgan is the latest name to have joined the cast of New Line’s video game film Rampage.
Like the video game itself, the film will feature three creatures – a monstrously transformed gorilla, a wolf and a crocodile – who wreak havoc on North American cities and landmarks. The report states that Morgan will be playing the role of Agent Russell, who works for a covert government division called OGA and rolls with serious swagger and attitude.
Rampage is being directed by Brad Peyton and also has Beau Flynn attached to produce. Others attached to produce are John Rickard, Hiram Garcia, with Marcus Viscidi, Jeff Fierson and Dany Garcia serving as executive producers. Jake Lacy and Breanne Hill will be joining a cast that includes Dwayne Johnson, Naomie Harris, Joe Manganiello, Marley Shelton, Jake Lacy, Breanne Hill, P.J Byrne, Jack Quaid, Matt Gerald and Malin Akerman.
Rampage is scheduled for cinematic release on the 20th April 2018.
