The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Malin Akerman is in talks to join the cast of New Line’s video game film Rampage.
Like the video game itself, the film will feature three creatures – a monstrously transformed gorilla, a wolf and a crocodile – who wreak havoc on North American cities and landmarks. The report states that is Akerman jumps on board the film she’ll be playing the film’s villainess, a calculating head of a tech company that is behind the monsters.
Rampage is being directed by Brad Peyton and also has Beau Flynn attached to produce. Others attached to produce are John Rickard, Hiram Garcia, with Marcus Viscidi, Jeff Fierson and Dany Garcia serving as executive producers. Jake Lacy and Breanne Hill will be joining a cast that includes Dwayne Johnson, Naomie Harris, Joe Manganiello, Marley Shelton, Jake Lacy, Breanne Hill, P.J Byrne, Jack Quaid and Matt Gerald.
Rampage is scheduled for cinematic release on the 20th April 2018.
