Fast Color: David Strathairn, Lorraine Toussaint, Saniyya Sidney And Christopher Denham Join Cast


Deadline is exclusively reporting that David Strathairn, Lorraine Toussaint, Saniyya Sidney and Christopher Denham will be joining Gugu Mbatha-Raw for thriller Fast Color.

 

The film centres on Mbatha-Raw’s character Ruth, a woman forced to go on the run when her superhuman abilities are discovered. Years after having abandoned her family, the only place she has left to hide is home.

 

David Strathairn (whose credits include The Blacklist and Z: The Beginning of Everything) will be playing the role of Ellis, the sheriff of the small town where Ruth grew up. Lorraine Toussaint (whose credits include Selma and Rosewood) will be playing the role of Ruth’s mother Bo. Saniyya Sidney (whose credits include Hidden Figures and Fences) will be playing the role of Lila, Ruth’s daughter. Christopher Denham (whose credits include Money Monster and Billions) will be playing the role of Bill, leader of the rogue government organisation determined to capture Ruth.

 

Horowitz will be serving as Producer under the Original Headquarters banner while Liddell and Shilaimon will serve as Producers under the LD Entertainment banner. Julia Hart is attached to direct the film on a screenplay she wrote with Horowitz. Filming is underway in New Mexico.
