Jack Ryan: John Hoogenakker Joins Cast For Amazon Series

Deadline is reporting that John Hoogenakker is the latest name to join the cast of Amazon’s straight-to-series drama Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan.

Jack Ryan will be reinvented with a modern sensibility of the famed hero from Tom Clancy, focusing on him as an up-and-coming CIA analyst thrust into a dangerous field assignment for the first time. The series will follow him uncovering a pattern in terrorist communication that launches him into the centre of a dangerous gambit with a new breed of terrorism that threatens destruction on a global scale.

John Hoogenakker (whose credits include Boss and Chicago Fire) will be playing the role of Matice, a tough and salty American who works black ops for the CIA. At first skeptical of what appears to be a desk-jockey, he quickly develops a new respect for Jack Ryan after seeing him handle himself in the field.

Jack Ryan is co-produced by Paramount TV and Skydance TV, with Carlton Cuse, Graham Roland serving as Executive Producers alongside Platinum Dunes’ Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, Andrew Form, Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Marcy Ross, along with the film franchise’s producer Mace Neufeld and Lindsey Springer of Carlton Cuse Productions.
