X-Men: Amy Acker Joins Cast For Fox’s Marvel Pilot


The Hollywood Reporter is exclusively reporting that Amy Acker is the latest name to join the cast for the untitled Marvel X-Men pilot at Fox.

 

The pilot, written by Matt Nix and directed by Bryan Singer, focuses on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.

 

Amy Acker (whose credits include Angel and Person of Interest) will be playing the role of  Kate Stewart, a woman who is struggling with her separation from her husband, Reed (True Blood‘s Stephen Moyer), and her increasingly challenging teenage children. When her family situation takes a dark turn, she finds that she’s stronger than she thinks.

 

Matt Nix, Bryan Singer, Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory executive produce for 20th TV and Marvel Television. Natalie Alyn Lind will be joining a cast that includes  Blair RedfordJamie Chung, Stephen Moyer, Sean Teale and Natalie Alyn Lind.
