Variety is reporting that P.J Byrne is the latest name to join the cast of New Line’s video game film Rampage.
Like the video game itself, the film will feature three creatures – a monstrously transformed gorilla, a wolf and a crocodile – who wreak havoc on North American cities and landmarks. P.J Byrne (whose credits include The Wolf of Wall Street, Vinyl and Big Little Lies) will be playing the role of a scientist in the film.
Rampage is being directed by Brad Peyton and also has Beau Flynn attached to produce. Others attached to produce are John Rickard, Hiram Garcia, with Marcus Viscidi, Jeff Fierson and Dany Garcia serving as executive producers. Jake Lacy and Breanne Hill will be joining a cast that includes Dwayne Johnson, Naomie Harris, Joe Manganiello, Marley Shelton, Jake Lacy and Breanne Hill.
Rampage is scheduled for cinematic release on the 20th April 2018.
