The pilot is set to focus on a locally born and bred S.W.A.T. lieutenant who is torn between loyalty to the streets and duty to his fellow officers when he’s tasked to run a highly-trained unit that is the last stop for solving crimes in Los Angeles.
Shemar Moore (whose other credits include Kill Me, Deadly and The Bounce Back) will be playing the role of lead lieutenant, Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson, who exudes calmness, but is always ready for action. He has all the ability to become a leader — he’s just not happy with the reason he just became one. Shemar Moore joins Stephanie Sigman for the pilot. The pilot has been written by Aaron Rahsaan Thomas, who will serve as executive producers alongside Shawn Ryan, Marney Hochman, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Danielle Woodrow and Justin Lin. The drama is a co-production between Sony Pictures Television and CBS Television Studios.
