Rampage: Naomie Harris Set To Star Alongside Dwayne Johnson

Film News - Rampage - Naomie Harris Set To Star Alongside Dwayne Johnson The Hollywood Reporter is exclusively reporting that Oscar nominee Naomie Harris is set to star alongside Dwayne Johnson in New Line’s video game film Rampage.

Like the video game itself, the film will feature three creatures – a monstrously transformed gorilla, a wolf and a crocodile – who wreak havoc on North American cities and landmarks. Dwayne Johnson will be playing an animal-loving hero who is the world’s only hope. Naomie Harris will be playing the role of a geneticist with a moral streak.

Rampage is being directed by Brad Peyton and also has Beau Flynn attached to produce, who previously teamed up with Dwayne Johnson on San Andreas and Journey 2: The Mysterious Island. The original draft of the film was penned by Ryan Engle, with work done by Carlton Cuse and Ryan Condal. Adam Sztykiel has done most of the current revisions. Others attached to produce are John Rickard, Hiram Garcia, with Marcus Viscidi, Jeff Fierson and Dany Garcia serving as executive producers.

Rampage is scheduled for cinematic release on the 20th April 2018.
