Variety exclusively reports that Gugu Mbatha-Raw will star in thriller Fast Color for La La Land producer Jordan Horowitz and Jackie producers Mickey Liddell and Pete Shilaimon.
Gugu Mbatha-Raw will be playing the role of a woman forced to go on the run when her superhuman abilities are discovered. Years after having abandoned her family, the only place she has left to hide is home.
Horowitz will be serving as Producer under the Original Headquarters banner while Liddell and Shilaimon will serve as Producers under the LD Entertainment banner. Julia Hart is attached to direct the film on a screenplay she wrote with Horowitz. Principal photography is set to commence on the 13th March in New Mexico.
Speaking about the project, Mickey Liddell said:
This is exactly the kind of movie I want to see in the theater – three generations of strong women finding their power. Gugu and Julia are extraordinary talents and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work with them both on this special project.
There is no official cinematic release date set for Fast Color.
