Deadline exclusively reports that Neil Brown Jr. is the latest name to join the cast of LAbyrinth, the Brad Furman-directed drama about the investigation into the murders of Tupac Shakur and Notorious BIG.
The film will focus on Russell Poole, a disgraced LAPD Detective who is unable to solve his biggest case…the murders of rappers Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G. ‘Jack’ Jackson, a journalist desperate to save his reputation and career, is determined to crack the case and teams up with Poole. As Poole relives the unbelievable story of power, corruption and crime, Jackson begins to unravel a growing web of scandal and deception. Relentless in their hunt for the truth, those two broken men threaten to crack the foundation of the LAPD all the while fighting for their own redemption.
Neil Brown Jr. is set to play the role of Rafael Perez, the former dirty LAPD officer and central figure in the Rampart scandal, who was accused of murdering the Notorious B.I.G. Brown Jr. will be joining a cast that includes Johnny Depp, Rockmond Dunbar and Forest Whitaker.
There is no cinematic release date as of yet for LAbyrinth.
