The synopsis for Kong: Skull Island is as follows:
A diverse team of explorers is brought together to venture deep into an uncharted island in the Pacific—as beautiful as it is treacherous—unaware that they’re crossing into the domain of the mythic Kong.
I must say I liked this trailer for the most part. Visually the setting looks great with the cinematography, Kong looks great (though his overall size is questionably too big perhaps but won’t judge on that until I see the actual film). The tone shift of adding in John C. Reilly’s character as the comedic relief seems to be a bit left field considering the tone of the comic con trailer previously and the first half of this one. Most of the sound bites still come from Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman and now John C. Reilly so now I begin to question just how much Hiddleston and Larson will feature or if this will be more of an ensemble piece going by the trailer. Kong: Skull Island stars Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman, John C. Reilly, Tian Jing, Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell, John Ortiz, Thomas Mann, Shea Whigham, Toby Kebbell, and Eugene Cordero.
Kong: Skull Island is scheduled for cinematic release on the 10th March 2017.
