In not so surprising news, TVLine exclusively reports that Millie Bobby Brown will be returning for the second season of Stranger Things on Netflix as Eleven.
Released on the streaming service Netflix over the summer, Stranger Things took us to Hawkins, Indiana in 1983, where one night a young boy named Will Byers vanishes into thin air. As friends, family and local police search for answers, they are drawn into an extraordinary mystery involving terrifying supernatural forces and one very strange little girl. The second season is set one year after these events, and will delve into the bigger mythology behind young Will Byers’ disappearance, Matt Duffer previously teased.
The news comes as absolutely no surprise (water is wet headlines come to mind) as Bobby Millie Brown has become a breakout star over the summer with her performance as Eleven on the show. Bobby Millie Brown will be joining up with the original cast, along with newcomers Sadie Sink and Dacre Montgomery.
The Duffer Brothers are developing nine new episodes for the second season to premiere in 2017. They’ll be joined once again by fellow executive producers Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen.
