The official synopsis for Assassin’s Creed is as follows:
Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organisation in the present day.
While the first trailer showed off the cinematography and hand-to-hand combat we’ll be getting, this trailer explains the premise of the story more to the casual film viewer as well as some (well, looks like all) of the action sequences that will occur. Much like the first trailer, the choice of song doesn’t really feel like it fits with the film they’re trying to advertise. Assassin’s Creed stars Michael Fassbender. Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons, Brendan Gleeson, Michael Kenneth Williams and Ariane Labed.
Assassin’s Creed is set for cinematic release on the 21st December 2016.
