Pacific Rim Maelstrom: Adria Arjona Joins Cast

Film News - Pacific Rim Maelstrom - Adria Arjona Joins CastDeadline exclusively reports that Adria Arjona is the latest name to join the cast of Legendary’s Pacific Rim sequel Pacific Rim: Maelstrom.


The sequel found it’s director in Steven S. DeKnight back in late February to begin working on the world created by Guillermo del Toro and Travis Beacham which saw the original film come out in 2013, making the film about giant robots versus Kaiju on a $190m budget and the film earned $411m worldwide. Plot details for the sequel are being kept under wraps at the minute, the only detail given at the moment is that the lead character will be the son of Idris Elba’s character.


Adria Arjona’s role wasn’t revealed along with the report. Her credits include True Detective, Narcos and Emerald City. Arjona will be joining a cast that includes John BoyegaScott Eastwood and Cailee Spaeny.


Pacific Rim: Maelstrom is currently scheduled for cinematic release on the 23rd February 2018.
