The first season was set in Hawkins, Indiana in 1983, where one night a young boy named Will Byers vanishes into thin air. As friends, family and local police search for answers, they are drawn into an extraordinary mystery involving terrifying supernatural forces and one very strange little girl. The first season starred Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Natalia Dyer, Cara Buono, Charlie Heaton and Matthew Modine.
Since it became available in mid-July, a second season had been teased by never fully confirmed until a few hours ago. According to stats provided by Symphony Advanced Media, Stranger Things averaged 14.07m views from adults between the ages of 18-49. Even an announcement teaser trailer has been released, stating the episode title list for the upcoming second season. I got in early in terms of the Stranger Things buzz and basically echoed what everyone else was saying within the first 48 hours of it being available was that the premise that could have come right from a Stephen King novel, using the style of storytelling in the vein of Stephen Spielberg, with a score from Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein that perfectly tips the hat to the musical scores from John Carpenter. I loved the first season (Season 1 Review) and now I eagerly await to see what becomes of the group and the breach between their world and the upside down.
