The Hollywood Reporter exclusively reports that Vikings actress Alyssa Sutherland has joined the cast in Spike network’s adaptation of Stephen King’s The Mist.
Spike give The Mist a full ten episode series order back in April, telling the story of a mysterious mist that seeps into a small town and creates immense havoc. Alyssa Sutherland will be playing the role of Eve Cunningham, a wife and mother who fights to protect her teenage daughter from unknown dangers lurking both inside and outside the mist while facing down her past.
The Mist comes from Dimension Television, which is set to begin production on the series sometime in the summer as they aim for a 2017 premiere. Christian Tope is attached as writer for the series and will also serve as Executive Producer. Sutherland will be starring alongside Frances Conroy, who was cast a few weeks ago.
