Deadline exclusively reports that supermodel Charlotte McKinney has joined the upcoming remake of Flatliners from Sony Pictures.
The premise for the 1990 original film is as follows:
Flatliners has us following five medical students who decide to trigger near-death experiences by purposely stopping their hearts. However, as they delve more into their work, the experiments become more and more dangerous and even scary as they are forced to confront the sins of their pasts as well as contend with the paranormal consequences of crossing a line to the other side.
The report states that Charlotte McKinney (whose current credits include Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser and the upcoming Baywatch film) is set to play a nurse in a supposedly funny sex scene involving her and a medical student. The cast of the remake so far includes Ellen Page, Diego Luna, Nina Dobrev, James Norton, Kiersey Clemens and Kiefer Sutherland. The Flatliners remake is being directed by Niels Arden Oplev (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo original) on a screenplay written by Ben Ripley (Source Code).
