Godzilla: Sequel Pushed Back And Vs King Kong Date Confirmed

Film News - Godzilla - Sequel and Vs King Kong Film Pushed BackDeadline reported that Warner Bros. are pushing back dates for their Godzilla sequel by nine months and the Gozilla face-off against King Kong will appear fourteen months later.

Godzilla 2 was originally slated for a 8th June 2018 release and now will be released on the 22nd March 2019 and Godzilla vs King Kong will be released on the 29th May 2020. News on the Godzilla sequels has been stale as of late due to Gareth Edwards having to work on directing Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The Godzilla reboot was released in 2014 on a $160m budget and managed to earn $529m worldwide.

The news kind of bums me out as five years is a pretty long time to wait for a followup film after creating this take and this wait will actually be worse than the several fights sequences teased in the Edwards film.
