Six: Walton Goggins Replaces Joe Manganiello

TV News - Six - Walton Goggins Replaces Joe ManganielloDeadline reports that Walton Goggins has been brought on board military drama Six to replace Joe Manganiello in the role of  Rip Taggart.

Last week Joe Manganiello dropped exited the drama as it nearly wrapped up shooting its second episode due to health reasons and production has been halted ever since but now with Goggins on board, production looks set to begin once again at the end of the week. The cast for Six includes Barry Sloane, Kyle Schmid, Juan Pablo Raba, Edwin Hodge, Brianne Davis, Nadine Velazquez and Dominic Adams and the show has been written by William Broyles (Apollo 13, Cast Away and Jarhead) and Military Special Operations veteran David Broyles.

The premise for Six is as follows:

Six is about an elite team of Navy SEALs whose 2014 mission to eliminate a Taliban leader in Afghanistan goes awry when they uncover a U.S. citizen working with the terrorists.

Talk about upgrading my interest for the show. I’m sure Manganiello would’ve been fine in the role had he stayed but if you put Walton Goggins in anything really from now until the end of time you can be sure I’m going to be checking out. The guy is stupidly talented and has a onscreen presence that keeps you glued to the screen so I’m definitely looking forward to seeing this show once it airs.
