Deadline reported a while ago that actors Augustus Prew, Rick Yune and Steve Mouzakis will be joining the FOX series event of Prison Break in recurring roles.
Prison Break, which ran between 2005-2009, will be back focusing on a new adventure featuring brothers Michael and Lincoln, played by Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell (both currently killing it on Legends of Tomorrow) and this has been in development for a while (since August in fact) and has been greenlit for a nine-episode order.
Augustus Prew is set to play Whip who is funny, crazy and pretty damn sharp. Rick Yune will be playing Ja, a Korean identity thief who disheveled appearance belies his genius. Steve Mouzakis will be playing Van Gogh, a bad-ass nut-job. They’ll be joining Mark Feuerstein who is the only other cast named confirmed at this point to join leads Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell. Also in the report it states that the event series will focus on the plot line that Fernando, C-Note, Lincoln, and Sara go on a mission to rescue Michael from Yemen where he is imprisoned after faking his death. Whether that’s true or not remains to be seen as these actors are still in discussions to reprise their original series roles.
